Hi

Took our pup to an open show today and got 1st in his breed class(there were 3 in the class), BP in breed,  and he won Best Puppy in the terrier group(5 terriers entered).  I know we can claim one JW point for 1st in the breed class, but somebody said that we can also claim a point for winning the Puppy Terrier group.   Can somebody please put us right.

Sorry, that'll be a NO.

The only way to get JW points is 1st in a breed class where 3 or more dogs are present, or if there are no points available in classes you get 1 point if you are awarded Best of Breed.

You only get a point for BOB if there are 3 dogs present altogether - if just you turned up you wouldn't get it.  Also, you don't get any extra points if you get BOB on top of the point you get for the class.  You can get more points that same day if you entered, for example, puppy and junior and won both with 3 entries in each.
