Hi,
Sorry if this topic has come up loads of times but myself and my girlfriend are becoming increasingly frustrated with our yorkshire terrior. He is about a year old and was pretty much house trained up until about a month ago. He has just started to wee on the floor almost every night - There are two walls which he is weeing up too. Each night he can do upto 3 and it is very frustrating and when
Aside from this he is quite embarrasing when you take him to peoples houses - Will try and become over friendly with anything that moves and give them some loving!!!!! Also wees up peoples curtains , the side of their couch and on the floor.
My girlfriend decided to try and train him again by rewarding him for going to the toilet in the garden and making sure he goes before putting him to bed and it seemed to work slightly for a couple of nights. Not sure if he is jealous - I worked away since we had him and have recently come home so I am there all the time whereas prior to this there was just him, my girlfriend and the cat. Is this a possibility and if so what do we do.
I am taking him to the vets tommorrow just in case of an infection or something but he seems well. Just when this started though he did seem to have the runs for nearly a week (Were just about to take him to the vets!!!!). Could this be a sign of an infection?
Anyway any help would be appreciated in this matter

How are you cleaning up after him? If you don't use a commercial preparation or bio washing powder followed by a spray of white spirit or white wime vinegar then he may well be marking over where he's gone before. It may be brought on by your change in routine just at this time when he's becoming an adolescent and being driven by his hormones too...... Making sure there is no infection and using the above routine coupled with what you are already doing should get him back on track. It's important he doesn't feed off any negative body language you may use, so put him straight in the garden and don't let him see you cleaning up.
