My husband has got his first judging appointment.  The thing I want to know is would it be okay for my daughter to show our beagle a different breed to what he is judging or is it not the done thing.  She will be showing althpugh it is in both our names.

Found the rule

F(1)21.e.Judges may not exhibit a for competition or handle a dog in the ring at a show at which they are officating(vide RegulationF(1)30.(9))
F(1)30(9) are the disqualification regs & state Exhibited for competition or handled in the ring by a judge of dogs at that show

There are people who got round this by transferring ownership to a partner or wife/husband & I know that the KC frowned upon this

So if your husband is one of the co owners of the dog it cannot be entered at the show(lol it takes me a while to find the breed show Rags as I know more of the obedience ones)

I would not enter the dog for the show. I think you need to be seen as being as professional as you can.  Never give a man a stick to beat you with !!.
Good luck with your first appointment and enjoy.

That was what we thought but he has got to travel to the other side of the country so my daughter thought she might tag along with beagle.  Thanks for your help I dont want to break any rules :)
