I've been given a bag of sweeties as a present. When I got home and opened the bag (which I didn't like to do infront of person who gave them to me), I found a bag of Morrisons Chocolate Limes! - Yuk :-(
Does anyone actually like them?

Talk about coincidence - my mate bought "us" two huge bags of these as "car sweets" only yesterday - and yes, I actually quite like them..... :)

YUK, YUK, I hate them :(
probably something to do with the fact that I was very sick when I was a kid and they were the only thing that I tasted whilst vomiting (sorry to be soo graphic) I'm with you jackyjat ;)

OOh hairypooch I am sure we could do a whole new thread of that disgusting subject! I know what you mean!!!!
Vicki I didn't even know they still made them, I am sure my grandmother used to offer them to me alongside those rectangular fruity sweets wrapped in white paper with a picture of the flavour of fruit on them. I think they had slightly soft centres.
I like the 'car sweets' in tins that I stock up on at the garden centre. What does everyone else have as 'car sweets'? I went through a phase of chewing gum in the car until it came to emptying the ash tray! I had to put the tray in the freezer before I could get the gum off!

Good ones for the car are Werthers - they even go chewy if they are "old" and they're just as yummy, so there's never a "bin 'em" time. Also like "Softmints" but have a problem stopping..........oops, what happened to that packet then? No wonder I'm porky :) LOL

jackyjat, I love chewing gum when I'm driving, it helps me munch away the frustration of tolerating every other ar$*h$le on the road :D You could always flick it at them in annoyance (only joking)
I also like the car sweets in the tin along with other "boiled fruit sweets" but find that the passenger footwell soon gets full up with the wrappers :P Theres another thread, what sort of crap have you got in your glove box/car :D
I know what you mean Vicki, soft mints are my absolute downfall and I just cant have........one
OHHHH I love them - but not as car sweets - our official car sweets are "Bassets liquroice All Sots".

In my glove compartment are: Nappy sacks(poo bags), spare dog lead, and three video's I need to return to someone who I am bound to see whilst driving around (at least that's what I thought at Xmas) and a bit of plastic but I don't know where it's from or where it goes!
I don't like liquorice Allsorts apart from the pink and blue spotty ones.

Hi,
I love liquorice and aniseed Thortons used to do these yum I also like choc/limes
Briony

Licquorice Allsorts - love 'em, especially the yellow & pink round coconut ones. I don't keep sweets in the car as I always open them within 10 minutes of leaving my house on a long journey and by Glasgow they've gone! The Wine Gums out of Lidl's (Except I boycott them now) are good too.

Out of curiosity, why do you boycott Lidl?
Another thread: where do you refuse to shop? Mine is JJB Sport.

Because they put their 'weekly specials' out and price them then refuse to sell them! Plus the manager in one particular store has had a personality bypass.

I have an ongoing dispute with JJB as I took a pair of goalkeeping gloves back that I had bought for a present. They were odd sizes and both left handed! The price had increased despite a sticker saying Special Offer and they insisted I pay the increased price (totally against the law to do so). As yet, they have refused to refund the extra and trading standards are involved.
Trading standards say they get more complaints about JJB than any other store!

my OH hates jjb whenever he goes in to buy trainers he is size 11 he will pick up a pair ask for them in 11 and 9 times out of 10 they dont have them so he goes in and asks what trainers do you have in 11 and they only ever have a couple of pairs normally the really expensive ones but most trainers in the mens range are advertised at 6-12 this sends OH mad iam sure one of thease days hes going to swing for the guy in there!!

Don't you just hate it when you ask for a size six and they say "nah, but we've got it in a four!". OK I'll chop my toes off so the four fits!
My first row with JJB was because I asked for a pair of leather football boots NOT synthetic and nobody in the WHOLE SHOP knew how to tell if they were leather. Even the manager didn't understand the leather symbol on the box and bottom of the shoe!!!
They deliberately flout legislation and ignore statutory rights.
