Hi,
A friend is having trouble with her young boxer's ears flying and asked me how she would go about taping them into place. This is something I have never done and couldn't find any articles or illustrations on the net. Does anyone know of any good articles or pictures showing this?
The pup is nearly six months so although she knows that his ears may fix themselves she would like to do something with them in the short term without reverting to gluing. What sort of tape would be best to use?

That would be great gwen, I assume the creased on a pugs ears would be in a similar place to a boxers?
Thanks,
Jen

There is a Boxer site on the internet that does have photo's showing the taping
of a 'natural' ear (in the US the majority it's taping of cropped ears).
I'm sure it's a finnish or swedish site boxernan I think is the name of the kennel.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for your help. I managed to find a good site, probably the one you are talking about boxacrazy.

if she massages the pups ears each night and puts them in the correct position they should stay like that but it has to be done each night or through the day
One friend in Boxers tried this and it did not work for their puppy
who still 'flies' those ears.
For some it might work, anything is worth a try

I taped a pup whose ears couldn't even be held right at 4 months. After about a week I took the tape off and the ears were perfect. Stayed perfect for the rest of his life.
Yes i agree i dont like angle bar ears it ruins the dogs head
