- By thedark [gb] Date 08.04.05 11:47 UTC
I live in a little hamlet in Spayside, close to Aviemore. Its Freezing here all year round just about, cold and miserable and if its not snowing its raining. Further towards the coast it really warms up armound the middle of may tho, since the gulf stream flows round that way. We tend to spend most of the summers at the coast.

I've just spotted that it's snowing outside, quite heavily at one point.  I live in Worksop (unfortunately) Nottinghamshire.

There was a light dust of snow on the pennines yesterday as you can see them from the hospital that I work in in South Manchester.  Nothing today, I think tomorrow it may do.  It's way too cold here at the moment, I'm freezing here at work today.

WEve got freaky weather here.

Very, very light snow howers 1 minute, biting cold wind the next, But the fields. Where i walk woody, in some parts the sun is shining, and is very warm.

In actual fact from our 40 mins afternoon walk, I think i got a mixture of wind burn & sun burn

Oh yes. Lovely Lincolnshire it was SNOWING> And I was huddled up on a ride on mower WHILE it was snowing. In scarf and wooly hat and winter coat!!!!!! Cant believe yesterday I was out working in T shirt. And apparently Monday it is meant to be 18 degrees, which means I may just get my shorts out. Only thing is, If I get my shorts out, they dont get out away till October when the weather turns again. No matter how cold it gets LMAO
Lea :D

Good old global warming eh lol British weather is going to be that unpredictable in 10 years we'll have to go out with a suitcase incase it changes :(

But I remember Easter in April that had THICK snow on the ground. So 20 years ago snow in April was not a shock!!!!!!

Since moving to scotland i have been shocked at the amount of snow. Last time i saw people snowed in like i do here was when i was first born and they had to dig the car out to come collect me from hospital. That was the last time Doncaster had a good drop i believe.
Ive seen it pretty bad in Cumbria but thats to be expected in britains calodest county lol.

I remember that year Lea - it was really deep round at our park, and I took my two labs out for a frolic, along with a "white" (oh yes) miniature football, which, if it hadn't been for my dogs good noses, would have been lost until the thaw.:)
