After years of wanting one, yesterday I finally bought a denim jacket, not a short one, it's slightly longer, more of a blazer style with a bit of a waist. Anyway, now I've got it I don't know how to wear it !. I've heard so much about not wearing denim jackets with jeans, although I know lots of people who do and I've never thought it wrong. It just doesn't seem to be me though. How do you wear yours ?. Please bear in mind that I'm coming up 42, haven't got the body for lycra or the legs for mini's !!.

i wouldnt wear one with jeans,may with a denmin skirt though. i like to wear mine with black  (dress/trews) to "dress down" abit

Me too, I wear mine with my black combats wouldn't wear it with jeans.

I agree - too 70's :D  I would wear it with combats or cords.

I wear mine with combats, cords and all of my "dark" trollys. Sometimes with a long skirt if I'm going casual, which is most of the time :rolleyes: occasionally with jeans but only if the jeans and jacket are a different colour. :)

You'd think I'd learn never to wear anything dark with a very hairy trio of furballs, do I learn???? :D

I wear my denium jacket with EVERYTHING! Its my fav!!! You can accersorize to look abit more dressy! :)

I like you, decided to buy myself a denim jacket, again being in my 40`s i`ve wondered the same thing. I play safe and will wear it with linen trousers or skirts, never worn it with jeans.

Thank you all so much, never thought of summery skirt, that is a lovely idea, cords also - what an excuse to go shopping again !. I've always fancied linen trousers too, they can look so smart or so casual, depends on what you want.
I feel more shopping on the way !.
