hmmm, yeah - any jobs going in that area of business?  I've heard big bucks can be earned as a H&S building inspector if you're self employed!?!  Opinions???

I work in H & S but to be a successful consultant you really need the NEBOSH diplomas and adding up the time you need. books, etc etc etc I reckon the investment to be around £7k

It is quite a responsibility too.................

phew!  Heavy bill!  I just fancied a change and have very basic H&S knowledge, I work in Facilities Management at the moment, and thought that it was another avenue to explore.....

I work in FM and H&S too :)

You can do other routes than the "Nebosh" Diploma to get the relevant qualifications and that will still give you MIOSH status- well they would have done if the rules werent changing- but you would become a Graduate of IOSH after July this year instead of a Member of IOSH

Yes you're right but its also one of the most expensive ways to go about it

Not denying its highly regarded just that there are other ways :)

thankless job isn't it?  Am very dissolusioned with it at the moment, and just trying to see what options I might have......
