My name is Catherine Russell and i am looking for a mature German Shepherd dog or bitch guard dog. He/she will live on a small farm and will not live in the house but will have a warm dry bed and plenty of excercise. If any body heres of or has a suitable dag please contact me on catherine@landplan-ltd.co.uk
Thank You
Catherine Russell
I think you will find if you have a Guard Dog you will need to pay for the handler to go with him /her. This I should think will set you back at least £12000 a year if you want 24hr onsite guarding plus a residence for the handler so they can work shift patterns.
Possibly look into camera systems or a really good burglar alarm.
If you do get a dog and leave it please be aware that if it bites someone you will be sued and judging by the courts I would say upwards of £10000 will probably be awarded.

ps I have got two german shepherds and most of the ones I know like there home comforts and people, being expect to be outside all day and night on there own would not suit any dog I can think of. My own gsd at least the eldest one and the ones my Dad had before have always been used to free roam at night - on our own property I hasten to add. They slept in the Hall of our bungalow with the back door left open where they could come and go at will but since the increased Violence now the dogs have been shut in for the last 5 years.
Hi Catherine
There are places where you can buy ready trained guard dogs and where you go along for a few days training with them but they must have a handler present to work with them. (There are also a lot of disreptuable places that sell "trained" guard dogs that they may have bought in the previous day) I know of one place I would recommend so if you are still interested please contact me.
