Any advice on how to stop a dog digging up flower beds and eating my plants. It's only when we're not at home that she does this and some days she doesn't bother with them at all. She has the run of the garage and the garden, which has a sandpit for her and toys. The garage is kitted out with a sofa and heater.

why don't you fence off your plants, or use a border? I'm not too sure if you can stop your dog digging when you're out!

We've tried, she seems to always find a way in. We had a large 7ft bamboo plant which she destoyed, really didn't expect her to. I don't mind the digging so much but eating the plants is a worry we're getting to the point where we think we'll get rid of plants until she's a bit older.

Thats what we did... we just covered all the borders with those little stones, and then put a few flower pots on top.
