you could look in the Ad trader online Just put Lhasa Apso in the search bar and you will find if any for sale. I have a Lhasa Apso bitch and she is fantastic.

Chezelle, the last place I would look for a puppy would be Adtrader, so please don't do it.

I would suggest you look on the Kennel Club website. Go to Breed Standards and then to the Utility Group. Find Lhasa Apso and at the bottom of the standard will be a list of the Breed Clubs. Contact your nearest one for advice on buying a puppy and for details of health tests that are neccessary for breeding stock. Do go for a well bred healthy puppy, you owe it to your child to have the best possible addition to your family, one that isn't going to be a danger to your child or cost a fortune in vet bills because it's been so badly bred that it's unhealthy.

Please make sure that the dog is wanted by all the family - not just your son - children can be notoriously fickle when they get bored with the latest amusement :( and YOU will be the one caring for the pup. Small dogs can be difficult to house train and you will need to supervise your son whilst the pup is small particularly through the early stages when the puppy will want to chew on anything - including human hands !.

Dogs do make wonderful companions for all children and can be particularly beneficial for 'special needs' kids - I teach in a special school and my BSD Lily comes in as the school PAT dog every week - the students look forward to her visits but even though she has been doing this 'job' for the last 5 years I always supervise the sessions very carefully.

Good Luck :D

Beleive me this dog will be well loved. I have always wanted a dog and my son did not like them. But when he met JD (my friends dog) he loved him to bits. So now if i get one we can both benefit because it will be really loved & spoilt.

hello, please dont take this the wrong way, this is just a suggestion, but if you have found that the puppy helped your little boy, have you ever thought of taking him to "riding for the disabled", it is a wonderful organization with very professional and caring staff who give there time freely, they deal with every kind of.special need, and the kids/ adults really do enjoy the experience,of touching and riding the ponies, the experience really seems to stimulate them, and they cant stop smiling and dont want to get of and leave the ponies at the end of there lesson. i dont seem to be able to find the number. but if you do a seach on google for " riding for the disabled"  then you will be able to find a riding school that is close to you.
again.... i hope you dont mind me suggestingt this

Actually dogs can be brilliant for children especially for ones with problems like autism (sorry I can't spell today).  In many countries, not ours, some specialists recommend getting a dog.  Yes not everyone should get them, the whole family needs to put in the committment too, but you will find that the child would express themselves through the dog, where normally they wouldn't be able to.

One of the consultants that I work for was advised to do this and the whole family love their dog.

Yeh my son does go horse riding as well and loves it. But I have always wanted a dog and with my son getting along with JD so well i think now the time is right. I have waited 8yrs and just cant wait any longer just hope i find one soon so my son and I can have some enjoyment & companionship in our lives.
