Hi Emma
We just went to B&Q as they sell all kinds of ropes, cords etc on rolls so you can get as long or short as you need (think it's sold by the meter) and bought a clip for the end. Works very well and was very cheap.
Hope this helps

Do I attatch the clip with a normal knot?
YEs you can unless you are a star at running bowlines and all that. The other long lead you might be interested in is a horse lunge rein available on ebay for sweetie money. Mine is pretty heavy but the canvas ones are lighter. Double ended police leads also clip together to the desired length. The advantage of the sash cord/rope is you can cut it as the recall improves and its easily replaced.

go to a saddlery and get a lunge line ,same as training laed but a bit more length to it
Hi
Yeah that's all we did (about 2 or 3 knots) and i put a few stitches in it to make sure that it was very secure and it's been fine.

Do you have a LIDL store near you. This week they ahve special promotions on horse stuff. Oneis a 32 foot Lunge line with leather handle and safety clip with swivel end. It is cotton Webbing. Price at £5.99 I think.
B&Q sell webbing also, we got a load to make a line and sewed a clip on the end.
Lunge lead rein for horses, much cheaper and you dont get ripped off because it is for dogs.
