My girl was mated on the 9th Feb. Only the 1 mating as she was not happy!

She would be 46 days now. The last few days she has gone off her food a bit, she is still eating but she wont eat it all at once & keeps going back to it.

Sleeping a bit more the last week but she is quite big.
I have not had her pregnancy confirmed by a vet.

I noticed a 'string' of cloudy discharge from her this morning, & last night my daughter said she saw somthing 'hanging from her bits' but I did not see anything & just kept an eye on her.

Is this normal - If I need a visit to the vet no problem but on easter sunday I dont want to take her for somthing normal!

She is OK in herself apart from the above - still playing, went for walks yesterday, not yet today as I want to make sure she is OK first.

It sounds more than likely that your girl is in whelp. A whitish/clear discharge at this stage is normally a sign of pregnancy, as long as its not bloody or smelly I think you can look forward to some puppies :D
If you haven't already got it, I would strongly recommend you buy 'the Book of the Bitch'.  Gives you allsorts of info on things like this.

When I got up this morning she had done a wee on the floor, so I took her to the vets anyway.

I have to get a urine sample - that should be fun! He thinks she may have a urine infection but wants to make sure before giving any meds.

He did a scan & he saw 6 pups in there - but also said there could be more as they can hide behind each other.

Lucky for me it was one of the nice vets & he is only going to charge me for a scan & no extra (bank hols out of hours etc) as he had to go to the surgery anyway to sort out some paperwork :-)

I tried to order book of the bitch from amazen but I need a card which I dont have, is there any where I can buy this?

Try W.H. Smiths. You can go to the actual store and order it, or they may even have it in stock. Lots of other online bookshops have a store as well. Or take a cheque if you have the addresses.
So glad to hear all is well :D
If she's not eating too well try giving her more smaller meals. She may be overfaced with one big meal a day now, as the puppies will be pushing onto her tummy.
Good luck with the puppies. Are they due around the 13th April then? What breed are they?

Hi - yes due 13th april.

They are staffies & I am lucky to have homes lined up for 7 (including 1 for me)

I suppose there could be a couple of more in there as the vet said at least 6 & there could be more hiding.

I will be off to wh smiths when this rain stops

Thanx for asking.  She is fine just looks so fat!!!

Ordered the book from WHSmiths but I wont get it untill the day before she is due :-(

I am feeling guilty for putting her through it now as she is moping around.
