Does anyone know what colour this is?
There is one advertised in my local paper for £1000!!!!!
I have never heard of it before in 9 yrs of staffie ownership & showing - does anyone else know?
Maybe it is a liver (which is a fault) which I have also seen advertised as chocolate.
I might phone later, just to see what he says - lol
(I dont want to buy it I was just wondering!)

Could it be like a buckskin or dun in horses??
Anne
where the dogs kc reg? ive looked on the net and all i can find is buckskin am.staff and pittbulls it is a shade of fawn
Go on phone , id like to know myself ?

Just looked up on the internet, there's one for sale a male for £450.00 but I couldn't find anything to show what this colour is!
It's like in our breed, a brown is a brown, no matter what shade, but now it seems that chocolate, liver etc. etc, is cropping up in registrations. We have golds also which are similar to Apricots in Poodles and it doesn't matter how dark or light the gold is they should be called gold but yet again Apricot's are being registered !!

I feel sorry for the poor person who pays £1000 for that, and unregistered aswell !!
It sounds like the pup has been crossed with a lab or something !!

i've been involved with staffs for 15 years and i've never heard of a buckskin colour...

Hi - The paper is in devon but it is a mobile number (alarm bells anyway!)
I have looked on a few US sites & the fawn pitbulls are called are called buckskin.
I am glad it was not just me who had never heard of it - I know it is not an accepted colour in the breed standard.
Oh well I hope it finds a good home - the trouble is I dont think it is a pure staff (Not with a dad that size) so some poor person will be getting goodness knows what sort of dog in size & temperment :-(

Hi
A friend of mine said that she had a buck skin colur staffie and we I saw her she was more like a sandy/beige colour nothing special so it seems that £1000 is way over odds and different colours should not be any more expensive than any other colour as its the pedigree that should be looked at.
I have a deep red staff out of Arnham Bridge Buster from the Black County I saw an advert for a dog out of the same lines and he was asking £600 for each pup as they were all red and when I contact him he sold all of them within 24hrs of the advert being placed I felt that this was far to high and really a price should be no more than £500

>>>He said it was a dark cream colour! with yellow eyes???!!! The dad is 4 stone & 20" - dont sound like pure staffies to me I asked if they were KC reg & he said I could reg it myself if I wanted to - lol<<<<
Must be a new standard then
Staffmad, my 3 staffs are also out of arnhem bridgebuster...lol
he was a fantastic dog !!!!!but sadly he's recently gone to DOGGY HEAVEN
for some one to say that the staff colour is buckskin, (in my own opinion) has no idea at all about staffies
what's the name of you dog and any chance of a picture?
has for a dog being £600 because it's out of arnhem bridgebuster's line is far too high!!!!!!!!
i have breed 2 litters in 5 years from my dogs and personally i have sold mine for the maximum of £350, and they are sold has pet or show, however my opinion is that i sell a puppy, but it's the new owner of the puppy who does all the hard work, either has keeping the puppy has a pet, or training the puppy to become show material. so why should i or in fact anyone else sell a puppy for any more?
there is a very big demand for red dogs at the moment(black country) anyway. and he's line is most favourable.
if an advert is placed within the staff shop darlaston(walsall) then they sure do go very quickly..
the only problem with that is that dogs are sometimes breed for demand!
have you got a picture of arnhem bridgebuster?
i have a very good 1 of him here if you want a copy
i also have 1 of him when he was a puppy himself along with his litter mates.
including CH nordic chief (his little brother)
kind regards

I think you might find the price has gone up! Seems to be £500-£600 nowdays!
I didnt charge that much, i think it depends on whereabouts you live.

Hi,
Ruby is out of Bridge Busters Daughter Bridgebuster Fair Maiden and Penn Boy Billy Smith I spoke with Debbie and Lez the owners on Sunday to be told that Bridge Buster had no gone how sad but a lovely dog.
My Ruby is now 3, I was going to breed from her as she is a fantastic deep red but unfortunately she had endometrosis (I was advised by Vet and advised to get her spayed) which was done 2 weeks to be told that she only had a cyst which was very large but also pregnant with 3 puppies but unfortunately they were not developing properley so the vet advised to go ahead with spaying)
Perhaps you could post a picture of yours on the forum.
I have also met somebody else one has a bitch out the same mum but not the same litter
Hello Mark,
I'd love to see that photo of the litter you were talking about. I think that type is slowly disapperaing which is a bit of a shame in my opinion. Only saw photo's of Nordic Chief and Bridgebuster but they both looked like lovely dogs and from the few progeny I have seen in the ring they certainy threw their type especially Botwman's Red October
