I own a 6 month old lab. He has suffered with loose poohs for ages. We now feed him Chappie (tinned all in one) as none of the dried foods we have tried nor the vets tinned food for sensitive stomach seemed to help. With Chappie poohs are much firmer BUT he 'goes' 6 times a day and always seems hungry (currently feeding him 1.25kg plus per day! No other problems very alert, happy dog. Are we feeding him too much, if so how do we stop him pestering us for more food (or are we feeding him too little as I realise puppies can require more food than adult dogs). Can anyone suggest a dried food that may work.
keisha (GSP) had exactly the same problem, she was going up to 14 times a day, very runny watery poos. i tried her on different food, she was weaned onto burns and was ok on that until i bought the second 15kg sack, then about a week into that she went like I have just described. I tried her on james weelbeloeved and then put her on chappie dried at 5 months onto the adult one, this reduced the sloppiness and number but it still really stank, as if she wasnt digesting it. she is now on burgess supa dog condition (the orange one) and she is absolutly fine, being fed three mug fulls a day at a year old, one in the morning and two at night and she is only going twice a day. she has big problems with water changes and therefore this makes her go like she use to be and it has stunted her growth a little, but in herself she seems so much better. it might take you a long time to find a food that suits him or you might find one straight away. is he fully wormed on regular intervals, as this may have an effect on it?

It sounds as though you may be giving him too much - overfeeding (very easy with a labrador!) frequently puts too much strain on the digestion, causing loose poos. How many times a day are you feeding him? Chappie do several versions of dry complete food, which I've fed my dogs successfully for many years.
As for him always seeming hungry - that's normal for dogs! Unfortunately this is why obesity is such a problem for dogs. Labradors especially are renowned for pretending they haven't been fed for weeks, even when they're bloated! So you need to harden your hearts and stick to feeding him only at his regular mealtimes - if you expect him to refuse food when he's had enough, you'll be waiting forever!
