Prof. Gary England at the Guide Dogs for the Blind centre in Warwickshire is a very knowledgable expert on this subject too.

We used Angelika von Heimendahl in Cambridge.   She's very good as well.   Gary England is now the Dean of the Faculty in Nottingham University, and wasn't doing AI last time I asked (he may have re-started since, I don't know).

The AI in America is fraught with complications - I would never have started if I'd realised.   I suppose the second time you do it it's not so bad.   If you PM me I can fill you in.

We sent chilled to Finland - no problems, very straightforward and a good healthy litter of 11 pups.

Our Vet Hospital no longer deals with AI so when we needed a semen collection carried out and frozen for sending to the US they recommended a company called Britbreed.  I can't speak highly enough of them - everything went smoothly and they dealt with all the paperwork required and liaised directly with the American purchaser and her specialist.   This saved countless Q&A emails between all the separate parties too.    The biggest outlay for your purchaser to factor into things is probably the actual transportation - basically because the flask is essentially packed in liquid nitrogen and so insurance costs, air freight, customs clearance etc are considerably higher than normal packages and the supplier can ask for the full replacement price of the flask (around £600) to be paid in advance as a fully refundable deposit when eventually received back from the US.

HTH, Good luck and best wishes,  Teri :)

Just a quick addition to Teris reply - shipping containers can cost a lot more than that, ours wsa over £1000.
