I will soon be moving to Dollar, just outside Edinburgh in Scotland and I can't find anywhere yet that will supply me with raw frozen tripe. My current tripe comes from a pet food supplier in Devon but they don't supply up that end of the world, they told me the transport costs will be horrendous :(
I will be looking for a local friendly butcher, like I have here, to supply me with the rest of the raw food but tripe seems to be the main problem at the moment and I'm starting to worry. I can take enough to last me a few weeks while I do some more research but any ideas or places that I can try would be very helpful. :)
Landywoods don't deliver in Scotland and so far a web search has come up with zilch. HELP!

Oooh HP, how I envy you, (jealous smiley) :DI used to live just 5 miles or so from there in Glen Devon. I get my tripe from Kyle and I think they deliver to that area as well, I will look for address and phone no. and get back to you.

Thanks guys :) You're life savers :) It's put my mind at rest now.
kay, Glen Devon is lovely, we spent the weekend checking out the local area and its all gorgeous, can't wait to investigate the local dog walking places ;) I think hiking boots would be useful, and I should buy some for me as well :P
I've done a search on Kyle but can't find their contact details so I would be grateful if you could supply me with their details when you get a minute :)

Hi HP, sorry for delay, Kyle has sold the business in the last month and it is now Smith Mills, Tel no. 01290 427089. You may get answer machine, but he will get back to you. The tripe comes in 1lb or 3lb packs. I usually buy the 1lb packs in boxes of 30 @ £9.99 per box, The more boxes you buy the cheaper it gets :D
A dog walking place in Glen Devon, Megan absolutely loved this place :D Just across from the caravan site, there is a little wooden bridge, Go across this bridge and into the flat field that runs alongside river, (this field is used for T-in-the-park campers during the season. There are water taps in the field for the dogs to drink from. Or go across same bridge, turn right and head up dirt track, past old house and wrecked cars (off road 4WD training track) and head straight on up, you do go through a back yard of the house, but it is a right of way. This will take you right up on top of the hills and you have miles of walks, Not many people know about it, or at least they didnt 4 years ago. :D You definately need walking boots though :D
Kay, (Still v.v.jealous) :D ;)

We also use Redcastles in Dundee and they are normally very good. They deliver fortnightly however they will only deliver on order over 35 quid I think it is. Their prices are not too bad either, we pay about 38.00 for 90lbs delivered to the door. Phone no is 01382 380 621.
