Hi im the proud owner of a Jack Russell. His name is Lenny and although i love him dearly he has been causing me a few problems. Each time the postman arrives he eats my post (lenny not the postman). He also jumps and attacks the letterbox randomly throughout the day. Ive searched for a safe letter box for the inside of the front door but can only find wire cages which he will either pull off or pull out his teeth with. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so how have you solved it? I would prefer to use an internal mail box and to be able to read my post! Ive never used this site before so if you want to contact me with a solution my email address is: biggm9@aol.com, i would be most grateful. Matt

Yes and I now have no letter box and lockable metal one outside the door on the wall.
But you could seal your existing lettter box with a screw or tack on the inside

One of my dogs used to do this I didnt find the cages very good either a secure outside post box would stop him being obsessed with the front door. I put a dog gate in the hall a few feet away from the front door, problem solved.

Kyle he's 15 now and still chases the postman

One of my dogs used to do this, and the Electricity, Gas and phone people never believed me when I said I hadn't seen their bills!!
