I have a 9 month old golden retriever puppy, male, and we are having big problems with his poos!!  He was on James Wellbeloved, but poos were soft all the time and he would go so many times in a day.  Changed him on to Hills but the problem worsened.  Now on Nutro Choice, fine for a while, but after an episode of bad sickness and diarrhoea, two weeks of building him up on chicken and rice and gradually introducing nutrochoice again, he is as bad as ever.  Really don't know what to do for the best.

We had this problem with our GR male, first I took him to the vet just to make sure there wasn't any underlying problem and he suggested putting him on Hill's ID, it's especially for gastric upsets, (very expensive but I think worth every penny) we tried him on that for about a week nothing else, no tit bits no nothing!! and he was much better after that we put him on Hill's sensitive stomach and now he is on Hill's Adult large breed plus tripe, chicken breast poached not roasted, he sometimes has the odd setback if he's stressed ie bitches in season, but it's 6 months and he is normal.I never give him schmacko's or anything similar, goes straight through him. that worked for us, good luck I know it is a worry.

A bitch I bred always had problems with loose poo and she is on the Hills Sensitive Stomach & is doing great on it.

good evening to you all,when my two blue merle pups had loose poos my vet advised me to mix in dry porridge oats or just give them dry porridge oats on there own and he said this would bind them and make it firmer so i gave it ago and it worked so every time they get an upset i give them porridge oats and they love it jen
