We are interested in a rottie puppy. We would like to know what is classed as a good hip score

Forgive me if you already know this, but you do know that it is the parents that should be hip scored, not the puppy. Each parent should ideally score below the breed mean score of 13. Do you know how the score is presented? A separate figure is given for the right and left hips, and added together gives the score. i.e. 6/3 or 7/9 equalling 9 and 16 respecively. The best score is 0 and the worst 106. Dogs are x-rayed and scored after they become 12 months old.
