I am so mad about some of the people where I live !!!  in our local paper was a headline "Arsonists as young as 4" , there seems to be an element of adults who just dont want to take responsibility for their childrens behaviour or even children, I have seen it time and time again here,  the children take the blame for poor parenting ( no easy task ) parenting is always trial and error but for most of us well intentioned.
I have a neighbour who has allowed her border collie to become pregnant with their siberian huskey just because they had given no thought about what would happen when their bitch came into season,  their answer was to put both dogs in daughters bedroom with daughter and expect her to deal with it because they couldn't put up with the males whinning!!!  now their daughter is taking the blame for being unable to stop the inevitable and their complete lack of responsibility.
I have now tried to explain to their daughter what the bitch will need ie extra food, worming, vet check etc and thats only the start but her chances of getting through to these ignorant parents is slim.
I just needed to sound off sorry folks.

I doubt we can ever change this sort of thing happening but you are right to try to try and educate the children as I think the adults/parents are probably beyond that education ! :(

It is frustrating but you can olny do so much :)
