Topic Other Boards / Foo / Smelly Fridge
- By ange [gb] Date 30.03.05 18:44 UTC
I  left a fresh chicken in my other fridge as my freezer was full.  Needless to say I forgot all about it and now have a stinky fridge, has anyone got any ideas on what I can use to absorb the smell. I have put a raw potato cut in half in the fridge but I don't know if thats the thing to use. Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks.

Hi Ange,

wash the fridge with warm water and disolved bicarb of soda, then squeeze a lemon into boiling water and leave in the fridge overnight. You may need to repeat if the smell is very bad, but this does work.

Just another thought, if you have a steamer, they are very effective at removing bad smells and quick to use as well :) Unless you're like me and take an hour to set the damn thing up :P

I was always told to put a small container in the fridge with catlitter filling.
You can have it their all the time and it will avoid smells or absord smells.
I should do that but I'm afraid that my cats will actually use it since they will jump into my
fridge anytime they get the chance :D
