can anyone help me with info.....my mini schnauzer has a hernia and is only 10 weeks old...is this  common,and can it be fixed..............thanks

If you go into the search facility and type in hernia the dubject has been covered quite extensively on previous threads.

A lot depends on how large the hernia is, some will be seasled and cause no trouble on their own, and others may require surgery.  So yes they can be fixed.

Our Bichon had a small hernia at 10 weeks old and had it operated on by the vet who attends the kennels where we got him at about  5 1/2 months and he is fine now.  It is only a small operation, just ask your vet if it needs doing or not.

Hi

What sort of Hernia is it?  2 of my Shar Pei have had different sorts of hernias.
