I was just wondering how well your dog has trained you. I mean I am relatively well trained.
I buy regularly
I place food in clean dishes on a regular basis.
I make sure clean water is always available
I open doors
I throw balls and rings when required
I reassure and stroke when needed
I make sure that walks are always interesting
I apologise if I happen to tread on one of them
I drive the car in a safe and steady way and make sure they are not thrown about
I buy news toys on a regular basis
I provide ours of entertainment by wiggling my toes
I come running when one of the barks (calls)
I never stray far on walks
And always make sure I keep them in sight
What have you been trained to do?
Karen

Hi Kazz
I've been trained to open the door for toileting on demand a sit and a little tap on the leg and I'm up like the speed of light!!!
One of my cats taps me on the head or rattles the magazines by the bed when he wants to go out for a wee in the night!!

To spend the little money on their food and not mine :d To lie down with Anton and he will hug me and give a kiss :d To realise that a white top isn't as good as one with black muddy pawprints all over it. That my cream tiled kitchen would much prefer to be a shade of brown with slippery marks and pawprints. That my windows look so much better with said slippery marks and paw prints :d

my dog has taught me all of the above and most importantly the joys of getting up early and trekking through the woods at 7.30am (at the weekend) whether I am tired, hungover, sick or really not in the mood. Regardless of the mood I leave in I always come home happy - my dog is a natural (but very expensive) anti-depressant.

Mack has trained me to be happy when I get in from work after a really hard day (he is at home all day with his human grandparents). Just seeing his face and waggy tail has taught me that work is important to bring the money in to pay for his food and shelter, but that is all it is about!
I got free voice lessons - how to squeak happily and giggle like a loon when he gets something right, making same squeaky happy noises when playing and to roar like a sergeant major when squirrels are about, and there is the ultimate Exorcist growl if someone attempts to get up from a stay :)

Well, apart from the training about making bacon butties all round (strongly enforced by Purdey :) ), we have been trained to put the rubbish bin outside immediately it is filled, so that Thor doesn't have to check the contents on the kitchen floor ;)
(I'll think of the rest of our training later - got to go out now, to check whether the Fox is still 30 seconds ahead of us on our walk ;)

Lorelei, that reminds me they may me make up silly little songs like "He's my Ickle, Fickle, Ickle Fickle Ickle he's my Ickle Man" :d :d Anton loves me singing that to him as it's his tune !!! Yes my dogs are as barmy as me thankfully!

Roxy has taught me that I don't need all the pillow when I'm sleeping, I only need the bit that she's not lying on. :p
