DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A RINGCRAFT FOR TOY BREEDS ONLY.  MANCHESTER/CHESHIRE AREA ONLY.  IF NOT DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SMALL INEXPENSIVE HALL TO HIRE FOR THE PURPOSE OF RING TRAINING.

THANK YOU.

Why would you want small breeds only?  Surely you would want to get your dogs used to big dogs aswell as they will be seeing them at shows.

Hi  The North West Pug Club (proposed) were running a monthly toiy only ringcraft near Aintree.  I will find out if it is still on and post again.  Ice Queen, it can be useful to have a Toy only ringcraft, especialy for new exhibitors, to learn the technnique s for Toys from those experienced in them,  Lots of people at general ringcraft dont have an all breed knowledge, and may only be expert in their own breed.  Also, to be honest, it can be very intimidating for a tiny Toy puppy (think a  16 week old Chi for instance) to be face to face with a stroppy giant breed for the first time!

Thankyou for explaining that! :D  Now I can see why! :)

I must admit I keep forgeting that many ringcraft people have no-idea how to teach and have no-idea about different styles of showing dogs!.  Saying that we have been accused of that, but have had feedback saying we don't and many people were astonded by what was written by us!

Thank you very much for the reply to the Toy Ringcraft.  I look forward to your reply.

I do agree that all dogs should mix.  I agree with you that toy breeds do need a different training than the bigger breeds.  A good steady table is needed and a human with kind firm hands.

My puppy already socialises with big dogs on the doggie walks. It is the finer points that need to be experienced.

There used to be one run in the Stockport area by Carol from the now famous Dachidas kennel, the breeder and owner of the winning Chi. at Crufts this year that won the toy group.  Don't know whether she's registered on here.  I will have a look and PM the details to you.

Regards.
