i have been thinking about joining cd. i have asked a couple of questions as i am getting our first dog. I thought it was a great site for visitors to get a simple questions answered.i would like to say i did get some very helpfull advice!!! i have posted a question recently and it said i was a troll??? which i didn't really care for? if you want people to join and find visitors annoying why put the visitors questions on? just make it so everyone has to join.. you get annoying people on every chat site even if they join. i also think although you were all complaining about it yesterday i could see that really it does spice things up a bit.I also feel if i became a member that maybe i don't know enough about dogs and thats what puts me off.. i hope i get some response... IM NOT A TROLL.. just a friendly mum wanting advice about doggies?? which is what i though the site was about..

i think admin is checking what is being put on the guest list, so this still means its being checked at a guess, have to wait to see someone more knolegeable (sp) knows anything else.

I don't think the warning was directed at you specifically it is aimed at reminding members that Guest posts may not be what they seem, but they still want ot keep the facility for exactly the reason you point out, but the facility has always been to just ask ONE question, and then to join.

Members of the forum have all levels of expereince from none to a lot of years and it is about shring expereinces and problems.   We want people to join so that we know who is posting (not that we really know as it is after all still private as we use nicknames).  Just join.

i wouldnt worry about joining ive only been a dog owner for 5weeks so i didnt know anything about dogs wen i joined.hence why i joined! most people are fine on here,i personally aint had any problems and every1 has been a great help!x

Guest got to agree why is there a visitors board.  A number of things posted on here make me ask exactly that.  Why dont you just join then you wont have to have this posed above your query. :)
