Hi everyone,

As you may already know our  bitch has had 5 lovely puppies and we have decided to keep one. However, we want to keep another bitch and would welcome any advice you have in this area. Some of our family members have two bitches together that are not related and they get on fine now after lots of initial jealousy. Just wondered if you have any advice as our bitch is our 'baby' and has been spoilt in the past and we want to make this change as smooth for the two of them as possible.

Well I have grandmother, mother, daughter and hopefully soon great grandchildren........I've got 5 bitches, 4 related and don't have any problems with any, Rosie the grandmother has always been the pampered pooch in our house, but she's been fine about the others.  I'm sure everything will be fine.

I used to have a grandmother, mother and daughter which I bred the latter two, then I got a great grand-daughter which I didn't breed and the mother and great-grand daughter hated each other with a passion. Lana is now at my mum and dads and if her and Lydia don't see each other for a year they still growl at each other, they will never get on.  I think that it's much easier to have two bitches if you have a mother and keep a daughter.

Hi rubyscharm

We use to breed gsd and always kept a bitch they get on much better.

Once we decided to keep one of the boys and well dad was not amuzed once the little boy got older and yes you can guess it they had to have that argument to see who was top dog.

Well once it was over it was ok but hell trying to get them apart.

Later on you see the boy always thinking is it my time to have a go again to see if I can come off top dog.(Dads getting older and slower he thought)
Thought wrong and dad remained top dog but after saying that the Mum was top above them all she stood no messing from them and they all towered over her.(coooooooooor she could be a right old bitch sometimes and a pussy cat when she wanted something)
