does champdogs have a rescue section where you can find details of breed specific rescues

No but it has details of breed clubs, and the breed clubs would be able to give details of breed specific rescue groups.Click on the home button, guided search, choose the right group, then click on the breed, the list includes owners breeders and clubs.
