Topic Dog Boards / Visitors Questions / Offering 1 cocker spaniel a lovely home!
- By Guest [gb] Date 25.03.05 17:27 UTC
Hello!
I would love a cocker spaniel...preferably over the age of 6 months.  I can offer it a lovely home, plenty of walks and it wouldn't be left alone during the day.  I have tried some of the rescue contacts but to no avail...can anyone help?  Thank you!

When looking for a rescue, like with puppies, don't expect one right away! :)  I woudl hate to think you phone up cocker rescue and they could offer you a choice of 10.  IMO rescues should be empty, but not all are.  Go on a waiting list within cocker rescue and when one becomes avaliable you will be contacted.

In my experience wiht rescue (American Cockers not cockers) they are a bit like busses, none come in for ages, then we get a whole bunch within a week or two!  Get on the interested lists with the various Cocker Rescues, and they will do their best to match you up with the dog who they think will benefit most form you as an owner - when it comes in to rescue.
bye
