Hi, i was going to try it too but when i mentioned it at work, everyone started saying not to because they always miss stuff out that you have put on your list.

I do use them (not often though, because I can't get my 10% staff discount when I shop on line with them :( )
I can only speak from my experience, and I think it does depend upon which store does your delivery - the one that does mine (not the one that my OH works at) is excellent - we live in the back of beyond, and are 1.5 miles OFF the road that is our postal address - but because I put the phone no on the order, they've always managed the delivery on time (generally within the 1st half hour of the slot). The substitutes are always brought in first clearly marked in "substitute" bags, so you can decide at the beginnning whether you want them or not - then the delivery comes in - first grocery items, then cooled, then chilled, last of all frozen. Even at Christmas, they came cheerfully and delivered everything at 8.30 in the evening, down a mud splattered lane!
Ive tried Tesco and Sainsburys, but I've preferred Asda - now all I'm waiting for is my discount on line, and I'll stop going down to the one OH works at - apart from picking him up & dropping him off - and I'll save an absolute fortune!!

We've tried Tesco and Sainsburys(Asda don't do our area) and we are pleased so far, we hate trudging round the shop so its works for us, like asda all the substitutes come in different bags and you decide whether you want them or not, and they keep a record of what you have bought before so you can just click on it again, and they always delivery on time.
I'd highly recommend it, sometimes we do forgot things and they even put offers at the 'checkout' to tempt you :D so you may spend a bit more than usual but its alot less hassle.

I've never tried it, although had a look once and thought it looked very time consuming and boring :D Anyway, I like wandering around the shops, although the packing part I could happily allow someone else to do ;)

Tried Asda a couple of times, when OH's car was off the road, but didn't like it much, only got half of what I ordered and couldn't find things online that I normally find instore.
But I use Iceland every month, it's excellent and can't fault it.
I sometimes do this and the service is excellent, my only gripe is anything from the bakery has to be used soon. In the store you can find much better dates on them.I end up having to eat loads of cakes and donuts incase they go off.
Ive used asda its not bad, but tesco online is better.

I've only tried Sainsbury's (it's not worth it now as we have so little to buy when the kids aren't at home). It was very good - but we do like things from the deli and they were difficult to get online. Also we buy a LOT of reduced things, which you also can't get online :D (Scrooge here :) )

thanks everyone i think i will give it a try. sue
Hi Sue
I use Tesco's as we don't have Asda here, and it is just bliss. You make a few stupid mistakes with your choices the first one or two times, but once you get used it - marvellous. When I had a broken leg last year, it was an invaluable service. I find the delivery men very helpful and when the kids are home on hols, I can order bulk.

I registered on line, but have yet to use them. Tnis is obviously driving them nuts, as they emailed me a couple of times asking why I hadn't used them, and the latest thing is a voucher for a free bottle of wine with my first order. A friend of mine uses them - they are more expensive than the usual mob (Tesco's, JS, Asda etc).

hiya, its brilliant! asda dont deliver here unfortunately but tesco and sainsburys do, tesco used first but got fed up of increasing amount of substitutions they put in then take 2 weeks to refund it if you return them. Sainsburys are my fave at the moment, prices are coming down, loads good offers on things i do buy and i have had a few £10 vouchers cos they been bit late (once missed dealine by 1 min i still got it but hubby wouldnt have dared ask!) If they forget to put something in they send you an e voucher to use next time (happened a few times) double nectar points, kids vouchers for schools and no running round with kids in tow, trolley rage or having to pack your shopping at the speed of light as they put things though, and if like us you have no car. well. no comparrison really!
happy shopping
t

Sounds good but we dont have a car or a bank account and only use cash, we go to Iceland and they deliver on appointment when i want.
