I HAVE BEEN READING THE MESSAGE BOARDS WITH MUCH INTEREST. I AM SEARCHING FOR INFORMATION ABOUT BREEDING. WE HAVE A TWO YORKSHIRE TERRIERS ( A ONE YEAR OLD DOG AND A 9 MONTH OLD BITCH) YOU HAVE PROBABLY GUESSED WHAT I AM ABOUT TO SAY, YES THEY HAVE MATED. WE TRIED EVERYTHING TO KEEP THEM APART BUT UNFORTUNATELY THE INEVITABLE HAPPENED. WE HAVE TAKEN GREATER STEPS TO ISOLATE THEM FROM THERE-ON BUT WE ARE AFRAID IT MAY BE TO LATE. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE ARE VERY CONCERNED. WE HAVE SPOKEN TO THE TWO SEPERATE BREEDERS FROM WHOM WE PURCHASED THE TWO PUPS. THEY CONFIRMED WHAT WE ALREADY KNEW, ABOUT THE BITCH BEING TO YOUNG TO REGISTER THE LITTER BUT THEY SAID EVERYTHING SHOULD BE FINE. WHAT OTHER INFORMATION DO YOU HAVE REGARDING THIS MATTER?

that you should of had your bitch taken to the vets for an injection to stop her having pups- perhaps its not too late, ring up and ask them, shes far too young to be having a litter, it might also be a good idea to have your male castrated as he'll probably change around the house now,

It is also possible to have her spayed in early pregnancy, taking away the unborn puppies and the womb!

If your dog is larger than your bitch, you really need to seriously consider Dizzy & Brainless's postings. When breeding Yorkies, the practise is to use a dog that's smaller than the bitch to prevent health problems, especially during delivery--blockage in the birth canal can happen when a puppy is too large.
Sure, she could easily have the puppies ...but do you want to take any chances with her life & health? Breeding is not as easy as many would like to think of it. Death & serious illness can occur, especially if the male is larger than your female.
I don't want to be an alarmist. I'm just mentioning the possibilities.
good luck

I say get her to the vet also..for her sake she is only a baby how could you consider letting it go ahead.. another load of puppies struggle to find homes..Sorry to be blunt.. it is not a game that is a dogs life..

I'd probably question the advise given from the breeders- if I phoned mine and told her that when the bitch was still only 9 month- she'd be climbing the walls having kittens!!!!

Take the advice given on this thread- they're all very experienced people- and go to the vets.
