I have just filled out the on line form and paid :) They recon it takes under four weeks so has anybody done it before ?

I have been meaning to get a renewal done for months, whoops sorry two years now ! :D

Anyway have applied for a job which may mean a bit of travelling and have said yes I hold a current passport  :D Better get it sorted just in case I am successful ! :D

Well we have had the same thoughts and I went and put some lippy on just in case they have a secret web cam :p :p Shame as I am due to have my flashes done on Thursday so my hair isn't looking it's best ! :D

I am ashamed at my photo in the lapsed passport. It is so embarrassing ! 12 years ago and I look like a member of a terrorist / Diedre Barlow fan club member :D Thank god for contacts and no more perms ! :D

This is a way of getting the forms all registered without using a pen and they send it all out with I presume the required list of requirements and then you just send it back and hey presto a new passport :D

We shall see if this theory works in practice  :D

I'll let you be the guinea-pig :D  I think that we have a couple of passports to renew later this year :)

I do like the new system that allows you to retax the car online :) Saves queueing up at the PO :)

Daisy where is the link to the re taxing ? Would be very interested in that ! :)

Can't remember, but it will tell you when you get your reminder. Not all cars can be retaxed online. I was able to do the kids car which is an 03, but not mine which is a 'T'. However, I have just received a new style registration document for my car, so perhaps that is what is needed before you can do it online. The system 'knows' whether your car is insured and, I assume, MOT'd. So it's very useful :) It will only allow payment by debit card - not credit card.

Hi Lucy, we renewed my partners passport online and they do send you the completed form to sign.  You return that to them along with signed photos, etc (they send you a list of requirements).  Would have been very straightforward except for the fact that we stated he had lost his old passport and so were required to fill in an extra form and he then FOUND his old passport - caused a right pollava (?sp).

I do our passports at the post office, they do a sign and return policy, and for the extra £3.00 it costs for postage is well worth it as you get your passports back within 10days

i did mine on line last week & within 24 hours the forms arrived, all filled in & paid for.....just enclosed the pix & signed & off it went. now awaiting its return!

We did a renewal last year.  It was soooo easy - the passport office used the same photo's for the new passports.  They came through really fast, and you can also track the progress on line, which is a bonus.  I highly recommend it.
