Definitely shocking - but I wonder how much the NOTW encouraged the couple to go ahead with it :( I am amazed at the style of journalism in the NOTW - talk about gutter press :D

That is really scary, you used to need a license to get a dog, but any muppet can have a kid, I hope that mother gets put away for a long time.

just read this its terrible to know this goes on in society today they want puplicly flogging and paraded round town with banners round there necks telling every one what they have done prison is to good for scum like this why should us taxpayers have to fork out the bill for them to be in prision at least the little girl is only young and in time will hopefully forget her ordeal with the scum that have bought her into this world

What I also find absolutely shocking is the fact that this baby was born to a schoolgirl of 15 - who should have had a social worker - and where is the social worker now?    This poor little girl has obviously been living at risk and should have been on the At Risk register!

Is this just one child who has "slipped through the net" - how many more babies are out there like this?   It makes my blood run cold.

i got pregnant at fifteen and i didnt have a social worker they are only about when its to late  i was lucky i had support from my family and my boyfriend whom iam married to know and have 3 children with him i think these people just saw the child as a meal ticket and to get some cash quick

This is it Saffie, you had a supportive family, who helped you - that girl wouldn't know a supporting family if it jumped up & bit her on the b*m - it would seem that she was reared like a feral cat - and has less feeling for her little one than a feral cat would!

Somebody should have seen that this baby was being not being cared for properly - but obviously this was/is a case of NMP (Not My Problem!)

this happens all to often we have drug addicts living near us and me and my sister and other people have reported them severel times thie house is a discrace they have lived there 5 years and have had the same scruffy bit of sheet hanging from the window god knows what the house is like inside plus they have 2 dogs that are couped up all day long the social workers came a couple of years ago and took the child away so they cut the hedge tidied up the garden put some curtains in the back bedroom window and they got her back and guess what the house is back to the same as before and they cant even get the little girl to school on time ( its only round the corner) now when the social knocks on or the health visitor knocks they just dont anawer the door and they come away!!!

I would phone the confidential police informant line and give them all the details and see if they do anything about it. It should be zero tolerance when it comes to this sort of thing with children and drugs and they NEED protecting :(  They can't and so need some outside help :)
