how do you get the smilies onto your messages.  I have seen them before but can't figure it out!!??

Hi ,i know it's been done over & over ,but now i have the hang of these little devils ,i looked on the help! section of CD,as i am sure they used to list LOADS of smilies !but they are not there now ,anyone know where i can find ALL of the smilies ..with the explanations ? many thanks Sue & Lola xx
