Ive got a five month old Labrador Ralph..love him to bits and can't remember what life was like without him. Now I don't konw if this is the breed, his age or just him but he is a bit of a whimp... in a nice way. He's not frightened of other dogs but prefers people.
1. On walks he sniffs the dogs then seeks attention from the owner..lies on the floor so they can tickle his tummy.
2.We met a 12 week old black lab bitch last week and she pinned him to the floor and he was just lying there letting her chew his ear.
3. When we let him have a run off the lead in the puppy pen before training he just sits licking me and my husband... shows no interest in the other dogs or his sister that he see's every week at the class.
4.Next doors cat jumped out at him yesterday took a swipe at him, hissed at him and Ralph licked it's face and ran back inside to me. Will he change as he gets older and more confident. We love him to bits, Im not sure if its just the way he is.

Anyone else have a dog like this?

He sounds just perfect, and I for one wouldn't want him to change, though when he reches puberty he probably will.  A well mannered puppy should show respect for it's elders and his preference for people to other sogs is a testament to excellent imprinting in puppy hood and socialisations since.  Wheh he becomes a teenager things are likely to go off on a tangent for a while :D
