When Moss is out by himself or at training classes his heel work is lovely but today i took them all for a walk/swim and he was pulling and pulling and no matter what i did he would not walk with me then when i let the others off he started squeeling blue murder to be let off. I put the halti on him and he had a little temper tantrum and then refused to walk to i just walked off from him and he eventually followed. When iu got to the water i let him off on the way back his walking was far better my guess being because he was tired out and going homes boring, how can i get him to walk nicely when out with the others.

unfortuentely its a matter of persistance. if u never let ur dog pull he wont learn how to. Everytime he pulls just stop, then continue when the lead is slack. its very tedious as it will feel like ur stopping every 2 steps, but after a while he will get the idea that pulling gets him nowhere fast. Try to keep rewarding him when hes not pulling, but dont punish for pulling as it will send off the wrong signal to him.
sorry i kno im not much help! but thats the way ive done it with my dog, every now and then she will start pulling again and we're back to stop start for about 5 mins, then she remembers and walks nicely with me. if we're somewhere new tho theres no chance, lol
