I need some.... and I'm supposed to be dieting. Someone stop me.......
Stop ! ;)
We women should allow ourselves some chocolate at least once a month.
Most of us physicaly need it around that period.
Chocolate will actually make your body start certain chemicals reactions in your body.
(on some very rare occasions it's a good thing to have your period ;) )
But if you're on a diet try to get the darkest chocolate your can find (80% or more cacao)
There is less fat in there and you won't eat 3 bars because the taste is so much more intense.
Good thing is that you can get these dark chocolate bars in very small sizes.
Allow yourself just 1 of half.
It al least takes away the 'well I opened the wrapping so I better eat it all before it goes bad' excuse :D

I have a 'fat day' every day - hence my weight problem! Could have a crunchie - aren't they designed for that 'Friday feeling'? Have to ask: to those who don't like chocolate, what do you enjoy eating? Surely you must have some kind of favourite 'bad' food?!

Sorry, Keeley, I am a complete health fanatic ;)
All my life I have been a competive athlete until around 5 years ago when I retired. My 'bad' food is Thai take away.
mmm..that reminds me...I still have a new KitKat chunky in my bag...white chocolate :)
I lost over 25kg's 3 years ago (not in a healthy way but they're gone) and thankfully they haven't come back ..
yet ;) So I'm able to eat some 'bad' stuff without feeling too quilty.

That's amazing.
No...it was stress :( I lost over 20 kg's in 2 months!!
I'm happy that the weight is gone....but would never ever ever recommend anybody to loose weight the way that I did.

Sorry to hear you had such a bad time. Still, at least the one 'positive' came out of it like you say :)
I'll just have to stick to boring diets and even more boring exercise I guess! Hate both of them with a vengance :(
Ohwell...at least that was a nice result.. :)
The ulcer (sp??) wasn't that nice. *auch*
Good look with your diet. Try not to think about it as a diet but just a change in your eating habits.
A diet usually is denying yourself everything that you really like and eating everything you don't like.
And that kind of stress can make you loose but also gain weight.
Plus as soon as you're on the weight you want and start eating again the weight comes back and some extra :(
Try to eat what you like but isn't bad (herbs usually make a lot of stuff a lot nicer to eat and are allowed!)
And treat yourself on something nice every once in a while.
If you're afraid you might treat yourself a bit too much ;) just promise yourself that for every candy bar you will step for an extra 15 minutes (or longer). This will make you think twice about every candy bar ...trust me.
And after a while you stop graving....I know you don't believe me know but it's true.
I can now have chips, chocolate, cookies etc in my house and have it in plaine site for weeks without touching it (or eating it :D ) and I don't even think about it.
But if I really grave some chips I eat them....no quilty feelings....But than I don't eat chips for another 2 or 3 weeks...not because I don't allow myself but because I just don't feel like eating it :)

I don't like chocolate, but I love all jelly sweeties :D
Keeley
I lost 2 stone before my wedding last October and have managed to keep it off, and I still eat chocolate but I have limited amounts as I am a chocaholic, my hubby has to hide it when it is the time of the month otherwise I would make myself sick.
Go on enjoy yourself now and again it does not help.
