I had research dogs for the past two years and now am ready to purchase one.  I am interested in obtaining a Coton de Tulear because I feel that it is the best matches my life style, home personality and desire for a pet.  It is important to have a quality dog with a good temperament.   Can you help me a good breeder in American preferable in the Midwest.    Thank you for your help.

Hi Diana, this is mainly a UK board, but I will try to help!  Coton's aren't particularly widely available in the US at present as they aren't yet recognised by the AKC although they are on their list of Foundation Stock Service breeds.  You will definitely have to go on a waiting list, be prepared to travel and more than likely (excuse the pun ;) ) pay top dollar.  I would suggest the best place to start would be to get in touch with one of the Breed Clubs and take it from there.
