This is correct! Our cavalier bitch had her pups 6 days early, all are fine. When talking to her breeder and the owner of the stud dog they both said that a cavaliers tend to be early and one that has reached 63 days needs urgent attention and not to be fobbed of by the vet saying to leave her a while. This was important information for us, as we were used to irish setters that have always been either bang on 63 days or a day or 2 after.

it should be 63 days from the last mating ...one of my cavaliers whelped on day 63 all was well ..just keep an eye and if your worried contact the vet
