Never met one but they look like fantastic little dogs - big dog in little package with a leg on each corner :D :D Was really impressed with the one at Crufts.

They look exactly like Akitas but are only 14/15 inches tall.
They are stubborn, independant and have a high prey drive. They are a dominant esp over smaller dogs are are not recommended to be kept with smaller pets eg rodents.
They are unreliable off lead and are stubborn HOWEVER they are fantastic characters and ,inded big dogs in little bodies.
Try looking here...click on breeds, then utility then shiba

The full breed name is 'Japanese Shiba Inu', so it's listed under 'J', not 'S'. ;)
thatl be why i couldnt find it then.silly me! :d
Oooh Archer you've forgotten to mention something.........
They are houdini's too, you may think your garden is dog proof and safe......
But they'll find ANY weaknesses and get out...
I think they are cracking dogs :D
But I'm content with my Boxers at present :)
