I have a friend whose miniature dachshund is in for surgery on her spine due to a rupture. She is trying to find out any information on aftercare for her to give her the best recovery possible. Does anyone have any sites they could recommend, or any personal experience I could pass on to her, please?

I have had two of my dachshunds recover from a ruptured disc. Thankfully, neither of them required surgery, so I have no experience with aftercare.

There is a Yahoo messageboard dedicated to spinal injury, mainly for dachshund owners, but I am not sure if it is allowed for me to post it here. (Could someone let me know if that is allowed, please?)

Good luck to your friend's dachshund. The surgeon will be able to advise on aftercare.
