Topic Dog Boards / General / Standard Poodle in Need of Home

Rupert is a rescued Standard Poodle (faded Apricot). He is an adult dog of around 3-4 years of age. His temperament is superb, his personality equally fun and intelligent. He is currently being cared for in a foster home but needs permanent loving home of his own. He is neutered and fully vaccinated.

When he came into rescue as a stray , he was emaciated, and completely knotted up. He is now improving day by day, but eats like a small pony and will steal any food he has the opportunity to do so. He adapted to his foster home quickly and gets on well with other dogs, but not cats.

If you know anyone who could give this wonderful dog a home please answer. Ps I am already in touch with poodle rescue, but as I wish to home check myself .. I will continue to look on my own too.

It may help in your quest for a new home for Rupert, if you post your location Caitlin :-)

Knew I would forget something.... Rupert is currently based in Warrington ... but like they say for the right dog ... have dog will travel (within reason!)

Thanks for those who showed interest ... Rupert is now in a wonderful new home with neighbours of mine ... they already had a rescue Boxer and fell in love with him .. so he now lives in a huge farmhouse, which has a dog couch on every landing ... couldn't be better ...oh and I still get to see him!
