We have a very loveable pedigree whippet named Sonny. He is just under two years old. Unfortunately my Husband has a severe allergy to pet hair. Obviously a hard choice has to be made - One of them has to find a new home! I am looking for a genuine whippet lover who can give Sonny the love and walks he needs. He loves to play with other dogs and lives quite amiably with a cat (who unfortunately may have to find a new home as well). Is there anyone who can help?
You could try this rehoming board it has rescue centres as well http://www.dogpages.org.uk/index.htm

First call should be Sonny's breeder if possible - if they are caring responsible breeders they should be willing to take him back. Alternatively, contact the breed rescue schemes - they should be able to put you in touch with potential owners & vice versa.
Breed clubs - will put you in touch with rescue
If you go back to his breeder they may help you rehome him.
As someone that has bred a litter I would like to know if any of my pups
owners have a problem and help out if needed. Also knowing where all my pups
are too.
If they can't help out for what ever reason you could always try the local breed rescue
for whippets?
hello,
I'm sorry you are having to re home your whippet, there is a lady in Bedford called Linda Jones who runs a whippet rescue and is supposed to be very good. I will try and get her number for you.
