Erin Logie (Daughter of Nicky - munsters4ever on this board) & her LM Hogan, yesterday at Crufts, gained a very credible 11 out of 17 in the YKC agility & obedience competitions.    Erin is only 6 and was the youngest there by at least 4 years and anyone who knows Munsters, knows that maybe obedience isn't that high on their agendas so it is a terrific achievement for her.

Well done Erin....

Excellent, well done Erin.  What an achievement for six years old.

I have had experience of a Munster and obedience, I usually had a red face, you develop a terrific sense of humour though ;)

Gosh that is brilliant especially as you say LM are not nown for their obedience A friend of mine had the 1st dog to win a CC & lovely as he was is was a handful to handle in breed let alone obedience

Would that be Helen Salmon (Campton) with Axel?    BOB at Crufts in 1980...if so, my first Munster was a gt.grandson of his & 3 out of my 4 I have now have him in their pedigrees.

Erin and Hogan say a big thankyou to everybody. They both had a great time and really enjoyed the experiance together. She was brill in the obedinece and got a first in a breed calss then went onto ykc show handling so a busy pair. I was so impressed by her as she cam round from the showing after not getting a prize she said to me   - well mum that was really good fun and I know where i could have done it a bit better so wont do that mistake again but I really enjoyed it and Hogan was a star.
I thought that was really mature of her to say that.

I can't do links but cut & paste this:- http://www.obedienceuk.com/showphotos.asp

Erin's picture is the last on the page (I think - small girl, large dog :D )

Our 6-yr old yesterday granddaughter was very upset yesterday that should couldn't take Thor, our oldest Aussie & show him at Crufts (she thought because she has started ringcraft with him, he could go ;) ) - but maybe next year, she might make it with him in Vets!

Many congratulations to Erin!

Big well done to erin.  Many juniors of her age wouldn't want to work a large dog, let alone do extreamly well!  One girl who's going to be big very soon!  Not mnay 6 year olds do that much, that well!  Nicky, very well done on producing an outstanding girl!!!! :D ;)

Well done to Erin & Hogan. I was watching her do her Junior Handling on Saturday & she was brilliant!!! Hogan & her work well together, you can see the bond between them, it's special. Erin will be one to watch for the future, thats for sure.

Thanks everyone.
She is a great kid really [dont tell her I said that!!!!]
She gives everything a go and gives it her all. She believes in doing things right and loves her dogs. She started training age two with my older cross collie then moved on to the munsters mainly Kelsey but she was ill a while back and wont be shown again [although she isnt too happy about that!!!] Then she moved onto Hogan who she grew up with  and they are a great team. Munsters arent really renowned for there obedience but he is so versatile he will give anything a go if erin asks him .He would probalby give me a rude signal with his paw if I asked him!!!!
Sorry to be a pain but I still cant get that pic and dont know if its my PC or the address. SORRY!!!!!!
Nicky
PS we are all really proud of them both.

They always say their a special bond between dog and child.  My brother, when younger used to attract small dogs to him, whoever they belonged to, much to mum and dads dismay when he said "I want a small dog!"

Now however at 14 all the girls are attracted to him  4 of them at crufts!

So how does erin fancy trying another breed of dog! :D

Munster4ever Click on the link an when you get onto that page scroll done to Crufts Day 1 - Inter Regionals - 10/3/2005, click on go, then scroll righ to the bottom to the last picture and there they are. Took me a while to find it.
she is one clever little girl, and one clever big lad :D Well done!!
- By munsters4ever [gb] Date 14.03.05 18:56 UTC
Thanks I founb it and yes its them. She does look cute when you see them , we dont really notice the size difference with them until you see them in aline up and its more obvious.
As for another breed she does agility with my lot and a german shepherd but that is probably just as bad size wise. She has a load voice!!!!!
