I have a 7 month old male rottie who has a tendancy to limp on one of his front legs.  This happens when he has been resting or playing.  We have had his shoulders x-rayed but nothing seems to be wrong.  We have also noticed that his joints click - this is usually on his back legs.  These have also been x-rayed but again nothing seems to be wrong.

We have had a male rottie before, but did not experience any of these problems.

Any ideas on what this could be?

Many thanks
Anthony and Lisa

Hi Anthony and Lisa,

Have you checked his actual pads of his paw?  I just wondered because on another forum that I use I know of owner who has a male rottie and he gets seeds from grass inbetween the pads of his paws and this causes an infection and he has had a couple of operations on it.  He now has to wear special booties when he goes out to stop his pads getting infected.  It is probably nothing to do with what your rottie has but just thought it might be worth a try.

It could be this or Panosteitis
