Hi,
Did anyone tape Crufts on the first day, Hounds. I was at Crufts and would like to see the TV programme as my dear partner fell asleep and didn't record it. I will pay all expenses to anyone who will send it to me.

By the way, is it me, or do other people who attended Crufts feel that the old sparkle was missing? Normally exhibitors get their glad rags on, but I felt that nobody bothered this year and was surprised to see many showing in jeans.

Guilty me lud I showed in Jeans and a shirt, though did wear a jacket. :D

I made more of an effort this year...for the first time in my life I WORE TROUSERS rather than jeans!!! and did it feel odd!

I had a nice pair of black trouser to go withm the grey jacket, but as soon as I hd them on I had the hair clinging to them so changed them for Jeans.  Nothing as good as Denim for loosing the Elkhound loose hair!!! :D :D  so unless we wear something to match our dogs coat (not a good idea unless your trying to hide the dog) then practicallity has to win over high style.

Don't know how the men cope who do wear duyit trousers???

Our Barabara Stokes showed and won the Group in 1999, and then showed in BIS ring in moleskin trousers in a shade of grey and a pretty Pink jumper.  As long as handler is clean and tidy I thought it was the dog on show.

Couldn't agree more Barbara....lets face it the judge is there to judge the dogs and we're there to show them so I see no reason for 'high fashion' as long as we're clean and tidy!

Yes the dogs are the ones on show, but over the year Crufts is the most prestigious show in the world and the one that sets it apart from any other show. Our breed always got dressed for the occasion ( perhaps vanity in case they got on the tele!!! :) :)
