Just seen on Ebay - the answer to all your prayers on gundog training!

"New ACME GUNDOG WHISTLE EASY TO USE 211 1/2 - JUST BLOW!

This is a traditional gundog whistle made from plastic and has the most wonderful sweet tune. Can be used with any breed of dog. Will also make a nice keep sake or collectors artifact. Similar whistles cost £10 or more. Low reserve. Anyone in the family will be able to use this so no confused dog. "

Glad to know that my old whistle will be a collectors item one day.   Probably worth more with a bit of mud, spit and feathers in it!

How much do they usually cost? £10? Tosh! Plastic Acme 211 1/2 gundog whistles cost £3.45 in our local country sports shop.

Honestly, the person who buys this one needs a keeper!

Oh my goodness me!  One day someone can dig up the whistles I've lost whilst out beating and put them in a museum!

I bought my last one at a game fair for about £3.  I am increasingly spotting things on eBAY that certainly aren't bargains and cost more with postage than something would new.

Now if they were advertising one that could not be ignored when something interesting had been found they may have a buyer!
