Brainless has had quite a good day! :) :)

Just trawling through the results Well done Brainless & another friend of mine won the whippet puppy bitch class & litter sister was second & another friend was third. It's bitter sweet for my friend who won the class as when the litter was born she had just lost her husband(hence her name of I'm Ken's Girl)He will be so proud of her God Bless you Ken

Mixed bag really as the boys I bred all got dumped. One a Champion, other on 2CCs and two young ones who have been doing well, but of course they were in big classes and out with the majority, who all had to qualify to compete.
Was very pleased with both 3rds in the Open classes, and Veteran and PG were not so bad.
Archer didn't do too bad either, but my freind whose bitch has stayed with me, and we have shared the same bed in a hotel, and mine often travel with was Best of Breed :D

OMG my friend jean hardcastle has just won BOB Keeshonden with her young dog from Limit :D she is such a lovely person & what a way to start the year She has been in Keeshonden like forever ! I am so very very pleased for her

Certainly a different sort of day for me today, neither of Dakota's boys did very well with last yrs BOB winner getting a 3rd in Limit and the other who got his 3rd ticket at Manchester getting thrown out lol.
On the shocking side of things my GOLD TAILED boy who's only been out to 4 shows including todays Crufts got a 1st in PGD!!!!!!!!!! Well did I need a darkened room after that one we think it makes him the 1st TAILED schip to win a class at Crufts and he is possibly the First coloured tailed too or is that the other way round lol?

Hmph, not best pleased :( Managed to get pulled over on my way into show, all knuckles bleeding, leg swollen grazed & throbbing. then my bitch took dislike to my friends bitch which had been dumped on me.....the latter panicked & in my attemps to disintangle her she bit me!!! Won open dog with one of my Ch. boys but then nothing in the challenge:( Very disapointed. Bitch got 4th in limit & friends pup I was handling for her came 3/3. What a bad day. Only good thing was that one of my Ch. boys was sire of BOB....herself only just out of puppy :)Glad to get home!!!

Oh Dear Sam better have a nice big glass of wine & a hot bath & start thinking why did I go ?

They have changed the results page :( A few days ago they were showing Tollers in a separate group to the rest of the Gundogs - now they aren't showing them at all :( A friend is showing hers today. Any ideas how to view the results ???
Daisy
Hi Daisy,
My friend is showing her Toller today, and she doesn't think they will in the ring until after 3pm...
What is your friends dog called, and I will ask my friend when she phones for the results.....
Hope you and Tara are ok,

Thanks - we are all fine here. Are you showing tomorrow ?
Daisy

We had a good day with 2 of ours. Pops won Good citizen for 2nd year running and Pudding won the ykc gundog Stakes so we have to go back tomorrow for final in Main ring at 8pm. Off to bed now tired but happy!!!:)
Just got back from our first Crufts for 4 years, no dogs taken..yet..next year, fingers crossed!! Anyway, Idõ's breeder, Diane, known here as Leiborschy, had a brilliant day. Her 2 bitch puppies(Idõ s aunts, not technically pups anymore but..nevermind!))came 1st and 2nd in their class, his other aunt also won her class and Idõ's uncles both won their classes and the older uncle got BOS! And the BOB is actually Idõ's great aunt so a real family affair! This is for HWV incase anyone doesn't already know!!
Well done to all concerned, I can't wait to join in next year :D !!!!!

Not a bad day for us. My pup won 3rd in puppy - his 1st champ show after a long illness and recovery period. My older dog got 3rd in limit which I was quite happy with as he's only just out of Junior so not fully mature yet. A bit of a surprise in our breed ( Groenendaels) as the bitch ticket winner came from Holland and the Dog CC and BOB went to a puppy who had been entered in Post Grad by mistake ! :D
Yvonne

my swedish dog fcr that stay with us last year came over for crufts,he won open then he got RCC with me showing him.

Excellent! Well done, briedog!

Congratulations Brainless - hope he got an extra special hug last night :) I thought they looked lovely. It's such a shame the programming didn't give a little more time to that competition because it's always interesting to watch.

Hi Yvonne,
Well done to you and Trevor on your successes - especially with your baby boy, so glad that you've managed to turn the corner with him ;) Can't begin to imagine how you coped with trying to get a Belgian to rest up but you've obviously done a wonderful job.
Regards, Teri :)

Thanks Teri :D I just need to get him a little more confident in the ring now - you know what Belgians are like if they are'nt socialised enough and the poor wee chap has been NOWHERE for over 6 months :( - will you be at the BSDA open show ?
Yvonne

Date 14.03.05 09:03 UTC

You've done great getting him there at all - and yes, I know ALL about the socialising. When is it we start to get a life again, when they reach about 3???? :D
No, won't make the BSDA but will probably catch up somewhere soon (coats do grow back, don't they  )
Teri
On a more sober note, an acquaintance of mine was concerned for his friends, because 2 dogs were doped - a wire haired Vizsla and a Weimaraner :( One dog was carried out on a stretcher on the way to the vet apparently.
Lindsay

There is talk of doping of those dogs although no proof. I was the one that carried the wire to the veterinary centre after she collapsed on me whilst I was looking after her whilst the Weimie was being taken to the vet.
Emily..............dont forget Yendah's Reserve Best Bitch!
