Last week we changed our cavaliers food from burns fish and rice to JWB duck and rice due to loose stools. Since the change she is requesting to go for a wee a lot more. Last night she woke us up at 1am, 5am and 7am. She doesn't seem to be drinking that much more water. She seems absolutely fine and the stools have improved. Has anyone else experienced this or has any suggestions. Thanks

It may be totally unconnected with the food change, and a urine sample should be checked by the vet to rule out a urinary infection.

Hi ,very interestec to read your post, i had been feeding my bitch on Eukanuba, she was normaly very clean but started wetting her bed, i mean really wetting! i noticed it was only since she had been on this food, i changed her onto Royal Canin, the wetting stopped!! Both dry food so as always fresh water available at all times. But no trouble now i have changed food.
I have been giving my elderly beardie female Propalin syrup for urinary incontinence for several years with good effect. However this has become less effective over the last 6 months or so resulting in urinary incontinence. The vet has given a antibiotics a number of times in case it is a water infection but this does not seem to make a difference. He says that, apart from Incurin (which was a nightmare when tried, resulting in vaginal bleeding and male dogs following us around!) there is no other medication suitable for this problem.
Interestingly I have been feeding her JWB turkey and rice and also JWB fish and rice during the majority of this time!
Am off to pet shop tomorrow after reading this thread to try another brand.
Which type of Royal Canin did you buy Chingi?

Found the number for the helpline... 01935 600800 www.royalcanin.co.uk :-)
Well we are now weaning her off the JWB and back onto burns as we still have some left. Nice to know that it can happen to others. She only went out once last night :-)
