From a closed E Group

<Just wanted to give a bit of a wider audience to a story that has been running in one of our papers.

A family in Hemel Hempstead had their grey and white year-old husky stolen. There was a lot of publicity surrounding the disappearance and so the dog was dumped and consequently has been recovered. But not before he was dyed black and tan, presumably to try and disguise him. They have also shaved the dog's neck and attempted to GOUGE OUT the microchip and the dog is in very poor condition.

There are some sick people out there. Keep your babies safe.>

Thats discusting!!!!

I'm dreading moving back into a town for these reasons.

I hope he makes a speedy recovery and hasnt been too traumatised by the whole experience.

What is this world coming to when you get sick deranged people stealing animals obviously they dont give a stuff on the trauma the animal is going through as well as the owners,i dont know what i would do if someone stole my boys but,i have two six mth old blue merle collies and they are my life they are never left alone when out in the garden,i do hope that the dog that was stolen but later returned to the owner gets well and lives a happy life.jen

I live in the general area and heard it on the radio. I intend to do all I can to stop this dognapping and would point you in the direction of www.doglost.co.uk The more of us keep our eyes open the harder it will be for them.

I believe that the same people are launching a campaign at crufts to get vets and rescues to scan all new patients for micro chips. I was astounded that they didnt already.  see www.dogtheftaction.co.uk
